This will allow you access to our online database of Personal Assistants seeking work, as well as enrollment packages and other resources. Please note that it will take up to 2 business days to set up your account once you submit your application.

The profiles listed in the Personal Assistant Database on the Concepts website (www.coiny.org), are of individuals who are interested in working as a Personal Assistant through the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program. Note that Concepts of Independence, Inc does not screen these profiles or individuals, nor does Concepts endorse or make any judgment about any individual listed in the database. Concepts makes no representation that any person included in the database is suitable to serve as a Personal Assistant, or that the information included in the database is truthful, complete, or accurate.  

As a Consumer, it is your responsibility to handle all aspects of hiring your Personal Assistant. This means that it is up to you to screen, interview, check references, hire, train, supervise, schedule and terminate any person who works on your behalf as a Personal Assistant.

Note that the Personal Assistant Database provides one way to find a Personal Assistant, but there are many other options available to you. You are encouraged to seek out a Personal Assistant through as many avenues as possible. 

Use of this database is at your own risk and responsibility.  By accessing the database, you agree that Concepts of Independence, Inc, and its directors, officers, employees and agents are not responsible for any content in the database, including the inclusion of any individual in the database, or for the consequences of any actions taken on the basis of the content listed in the database.  You agree to waive any and all claims of whatever nature you may have against Concepts of Independence, Inc., and its directors, officers, employees and agents that may arise from accessing or using the content of the database. You further agree to hold harmless from any and all claims of whatever nature that any person may assert against Concepts of Independence, Inc., and its directors, officers, employees and agents from your accessing or using the content of the Database.   You further agree that Concepts of Independence, its directors, officers, employees and agents are under no obligation to maintain the Personal Assistant Database, have no liability for any interruption in the availability of the database, and may suspend or terminate the database at any time, in the sole discretion of Concepts of Independence, Inc.
